Thanks to support of an innovative program by Stop and Shop corporation, more than $5,700 came to Bedford schools last year because residents and others participated in the program where Stop and Shop designates a percentage of their grocery bills. The Stop & Shop A+ program donates approximately $2.5 million every year to local schools.
During the 2012-2013 school year Davis School received $1,992; Lane School received $873; the John Glenn Middle School received $924; and Bedford High School received $1,98 for a total of $5,769, or about $700 more than the prior year. These grants represent the most ever that Stop & Shop has given to Bedford.
It’s easy to help Bedford schools “earn” these funds. By registering your Stop & Shop card through the store’s A+ Program, each time you shop at Stop & Shop your designated school will earn points that translate to a check at the end of the school year. Everyone in the town can help by registering or re-registering their Stop & Shop card. Register now, the 2013-2014 program began on October 4.
To register on line, log on to www.stopandshop.com/aplus using your Stop & Shop Card OR CALL 1-877-275-2758. If you do not know your 13-digit STOP & SHOP CARD number, call the Card Hotline at 1-877-366-2668 and select OPTION #2.
