Bedford Football Club’s Post-Game Social

Come join us for the Bedford Football Club’s Post Game Social Fundraiser in the Great Room at Old Town, 16 South Road, from the end of the game at Sabourin Field until 11 pm.

Tickets are $5 in advance or $10 at the door, and attendees must be 21 & over.  There will be a cash bar, featuring beer, wine, and the evening’s signature drink,”The Buc-tini!”  Light snacks will be served.

Annual Turkey Dinner at First Church of Christ, Congregational

Enjoy the home-cooked meal that has become a First Church and Bedford tradition:  The annual Turkey Dinner, held at 6 pm on October 26th is a precursor to the Fall Fair that takes place a few weeks later on November 15th and 16th.

The dinner features a menu of roast turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, butternut squash, green peas, and, of course, homemade apple or pumpkin pie for dessert. Tickets are $12 per adult and $6 per child under 12 (children under 2 are free) and can be purchased by calling the church office, or by stopping into the Church office during the week through Friday, October 25th.  Take-out is also available prior to the start of dinner, between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m., with call ahead ordering requested.

Bedford’s Got Talent  2013

Come see our local talent (your neighbors and friends) at Bedford’s Got Talent 2013, a multi-generational talent showcase presented by the Bedford Education Foundation on Sunday, October 27th at 2:00pm in the Bedford High School auditorium.  Tickets are available for purchase via cash or check made payable to the BEF at the Davis & Lane School offices, Bedford Council on Aging, and Chip-In Farm or online at https://bedrecregister.org/registrationmain.sdi .  Tickets cost $10 for adults and $8 for seniors/students/children

Frank W. Thompson Masonic Lodge Blood Drive

The Frank W. Thompson Lodge’s blood drive will take place from 2 until 7 pm on Tuesday, October 29 at First Church of Christ, 25 Great Road, Bedford.

Walk-ins are welcome or donors may schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visiting www.redcrossblood.org.

Donors may register to win a $200 Visa Giftcard courtesy of Suburban Propane.

Take A Bite Out of Stomach Cancer

A Flatbread Pizza Fundraiser will benefit the Stomach Cancer Research Fund at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center from 5 until 9 pm on Tuesday, October 29, at 213 Burlington Rd in Bedford.

There will be prizes for the kid wearing the best Halloween costume, a Silent Auction with great items; hand-crafted cards, and promotional items for sale.

Bring someone you love, a friend, a coworker, sister or brother to learn about stomach cancer and how it affects all of us. Don’t have time to stay? Flatbread will donate a portion of all takeout orders to our cause.
