It looks as if the Bedford High School (BHS) football team’s first home game of the season will be played against Concord-Carlisle at 6:30 pm on Friday evening, September 27 on the newly-installed turf at Sabourin Stadium. Because of new regulations this year, BHS will play CCHS twice with the second game the traditional Thanksgiving morning match-up.

According to the BHS athletic calendar, Sabourin Stadium will also host a varsity soccer game on Wednesday afternoon and a varsity field hockey game on Thursday afternoon.

A visit to the field on Monday revealed that workmen are busily putting the finishing touches on the track, preparing to re-install the visitors’ bleachers and working on the scoreboard so it will be ready for Friday’s game.

The press box has been dismantled, and the turf is in place. Game on!
