A single performance of Princess Whatsername, the Recreation Department’s Summer Adventures Junior Summer Stock musical, will take place on Thursday, August 8 in the Middle School auditorium. Admission is free and the community is invited.
Dozens of Bedford students who will enter grades 4 – 9 have been working with the play’s director Amy Budka for the past four weeks. Auditions were held in June, and cast members began learning their lines.
Offering musical theater production experience, program participants have worked on all the different aspects of musical theater performance: singing, dancing, character development and stage blocking. Participants also participate in designing and crafting scenery, props and costumes.
