The Selectmen named Millie Seaborn to fill the final vacancy on the Cable Television Committee, a group that serves in an advisory capacity to Town government on matters concerning the licensing and operation of cable TV.

Seaborn said she became interested in joining the Cable Television Committee after speaking with Joe Piantedosi, one of the Town’s Volunteer Coordinators. Seaborn reported that she has attended past meetings of the Cable Committee and that her business background includes contract negotiations, a key part of the Committee’s duties.

Besides licensing and operations, another responsibility of the Committee is mediating unresolved cable subscriber complaints. Meetings are open to the public and are usually held the first Thursday of each month at 7:30 in the Town Hall on Mudge Way.
