Planning Office Notes Significant Uptick in Development Requests

By Kim Siebert MacPhail

At the Planning Board meeting on May 2, Planning Director Glenn Garber and Assistant Planner Catherine Perry reported that inquiries for development projects have accelerated significantly in the last few months, reflecting new confidence in the market and pent up demand generated during the prolonged economic downturn.

In the coming months, Planning Board meetings are expected to be more frequent, with fully-packed agendas. Meetings about Bedford’s new Comprehensive Plan will have to take a back seat to regulatory matters, Garber said.

Below are listed some of the items that will appear on upcoming Planning Board agendas with the dates and times they are expected to be heard.

Final approval of Victoria Road plans pending staff review of recently changed plan components.
