The Bedford Garden Club wishes to thank the community for its overwhelming response at our annual Geranium, Perennial and Floral Arrangement sale held May 11.
We also wish to thank the Town of Bedford for allowing us to run the sale from the front of the DPW Building and the newspapers for accepting our publicity for the sale. The publicity and the sale location ensure that Bedford residents know the good works of the Club and will return to the sale next year.
We sold out almost 600 geraniums; hundreds and hundreds of perennials dug from the gardens of Garden Club members as well as non-Club members found new homes to beautify and please local gardeners.
We also sold nearly 100 gorgeous flower arrangements over the course of the day to adults and kids – all thinking about a special person for Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 12th. Some of the flowers for these arrangements come from the gardens of Club members; others we purchase to fill out the arrangements. These arrangements are known from past years for their lasting beauty.

About the Bedford Garden Club
The community’s support of this Garden Club sale is essential to aid the Club in raising the funds it gives toward annual scholarships to Bedford residents graduating from high school. We are so grateful for the financial support that the May flower and plant sale provides.
The Club performs many other civic projects each year, the most visual being the planting, watering, mulching and maintaining of Town islands and curves, the Watering Trough, the Shawsheen Road Daylily Garden and gardens at Old Town Hall and the Bedford Library. Club members also maintain the Lillian Dutton Memorial Herb Garden at the Job Lane Farm Museum on North rd. The Club takes pride in knowing that Bedford residents and visitors enjoy the beautiful flowers that bloom on these Town properties throughout the spring and summer.
