Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Bedford Garden Club’s annual sale of geraniums, perennials, and fresh cut flower arrangements is planned for Saturday, May 11 in front of the Bedford DPW Building, 314 The Great Road.
Starting at 10 am, the sale will offer floral arrangements in three sizes (bud vase, medium and large) that are great gifts for Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 12. Also to be sold are hundreds of the most popular colors of geraniums (red, white, pink, hot pink, and salmon) as well as perennials donated from the yards of Garden Club members – all to raise funds for the Club’s civic activities and scholarship program.
New for sale this year will be hanging baskets containing a variety of flowers: Surfinia petunias in pink and violet blue; light pink/magenta Calibrachoa (miniature bell-shaped flowers); and various combos and types of geraniums, some with Scaevola (dainty fan-shaped flowers) and Calibrachoa.
This event is the biggest fundraiser for the Garden Club and will be held rain or shine. Sale co-chairmen are Carol Amick and Maureen Levine.
