masonic symbolBedford’s Frank W. Thompson Masonic Lodge will be open to the public on Saturday, April 6th from 9AM to 3PM as part of a statewide celebration of Freemasonry.  This Open House will be held in the First Church of Christ, Congregational, at 25 The Great Road, Bedford, MA.  If you’ve ever wondered who the Freemasons are and what they do, here is your chance to find out.

Dedicated to the purpose of “making good men better,” Freemasonry provides its members with opportunities for fellowship, charity, education, and leadership.  It is open to adult men of any race, religion, nationality, social and economic standing, or opinion.  In conjunction with the Grand Lodge of Masons in Massachusetts, 232 Lodges throughout the Commonwealth will be hosting open houses to raise awareness of the organization and the positive impact it has on its members and their communities.  Members will be on hand to talk about Freemasonry’s history, discuss its ritual, signs, and symbols, and explain what they do.
