When asked about yesterday’s storm, Selectman Chair Catherine Cordes said, “It was a quiet evening. Rick Reed kept us up to date through a smooth, safe storm.” She added that the Governor made a good call in keeping everyone off the roads, and that the light, fluffy snow kept power outages to a minimum. “We couldn’t be happier,” she concluded.
According to DPW Director Rich Warrington, Bedford logged approximately 25 inches of snow, but wind-driven drifts made accurate totals hard to ascertain. Warrington fielded 45 plows (23 DPW crews and 22 hired contractors) to clear Bedford’s roads and streets.
The Bedford Police have confirmed that Massachusetts’ statewide driving ban was lifted at 4 pm on Saturday.
The Citizen cautions drivers to be watchful on the roads because of tall end-of-driveway drifts and slippery roads.

Where was the fisher “cat” picture taken?
That was quite the storm!
grand fisher photos! Others fine snow shots. Thanks.
Coincidentally, I recently learned at Drumlin Farms that a fisher is not from the cat family. It may be weasel family? Great pictures!
Last photo… Great Image… “Fine Art”… Excellent eye for composition and simplicity.
