The Selectmen made the following appointments to town committees:
Brian Bartkus was selected as the ninth and final member to the Ad Hoc Outdoor Recreation Committee. None of the remaining applicants were able to attend the last round of interviews on Monday night, but since Bartkus had appeared before the Selectmen numerous times and was well known to them, he was chosen to serve.
Roberta “Bobbi” Ennis was appointed to the Patriotic Holiday Committee. Ennis’ long-standing service to the town was applauded along with her impressive resume, which included participation and leadership on a wide variety of town boards and committees.
Christopher Gittens was named to the Bedford Arbor Resources Committee. On his application, Gittens demonstrated deep knowledge about trees and plantings, citing experience as a Boy Scout in his youth as the origin of this interest.
