Eight Bedford students were among the 326 who celebrated their graduation from Shawsheen Valley Technical High School in Billerica in a ceremony on the campus football field on June 6.
Bedford graduates were:

- Gordon Noble
- Benjamin Skorik
- Michael Sullivan
Alice Bollinger had the distinction of ranking number fourth in the class.
Brian O’Donnell, Bedford’s representative on the Shawsheen Tech School Board, acknowledged the achievements of the graduates.
Superintendent Tony McIntosh also highlighted the achievements of the graduating class, including military-bound students, six seniors who earned the Seal of Biliteracy, and sixteen SkillsUSA students heading to the national competition. He noted that students will be attending 118 different colleges and universities in the fall. In addition, he emphasized the 12,000 hours of work experience completed by the class through Shawsheen’s cooperative education program, which earned them a total of $1,981,735.00.
Bedford is one of five towns whose students are eligible for admission to Shawsheen Tech. Each year, Bedford’s eighth grade students visit Shawsheen in the spring to learn about the educational opportunities offered.
Established in 1965, the school now enrolls more than 1,300 students in grades 9 through 12 from Bedford, Billerica, Burlington, Tewksbury, and Wilmington. It offers a range of more than 20 vocational-technical career pathways.
