Annual Celebration of Hope Benefit to Support Domestic Violence Services Network, Inc.

The Domestic Violence Services Network, Inc. (DVSN) is hosting their annual Celebration of Hope Benefit fundraiser on Saturday, May 18, at The Barn at Gibbet Hill in Groton for brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees will enjoy a meal in rustic elegance in support of DVSN’s work.

This year’s event celebrates hope, collaboration, and community partnerships and marks DVSN’s 25th anniversary with a theme highlighting “The Power of Positive Partnerships.” 

Tickets are $100 per person and it covers the food, drinks, dessert, décor, and programming and can be purchased at DVSN.org/Benefit2024.

.The event will be hosted by Sharon Imperato, LMHC, a DVSN colleague and partner and the Senior Director of Community Outreach, Awareness, and Prevention Education at the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center (BARCC) who is an expert at facilitating interactive learning about domestic violence.

A poignant and impactful survivor’s story will be featured showcasing the survivor’s talents as a violinist, an important component of her healing.

Artwork by survivors from DVSN’s support groups will be on display and available for sale. Attendees are encouraged to wear a touch of purple – the color of domestic violence awareness. A photo booth will be available to capture the bucolic brunch and memorialize the occasion for attendees.

Executive Director Jacquelin Apsler says, “DVSN strives to bring domestic violence out of the shadows, helping families living with abuse and offering a bridge to hope and empowerment.” 

Primarily serving communities in Central Middlesex County, including Bedford, DVSN provides a confidential, toll-free Help Line staffed with trained volunteer advocates working closely with police departments, courts, hospitals, and schools, as well as other community organizations and businesses, to provide support, resources, and training to clients and community partners.
