Enjoy some local history this weekend at the Job Lane Farm Museum, 295 North Road, Bedford.  The Job Lane House will be open for tours on Sunday, May 28, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.  This 300 + year old house, the oldest house in Bedford, will take visitors back to colonial times.  See the open hearth kitchen and peek into the borning room.  The parlor has rare Rufus Porter wall paintings.  Period furnishings add interest to all the rooms.  Our Student Museum Docent House Tour Guides will provide informative dialogue about the house and its history.  Walk through the

Juneteenth Observance

First Parish Bedford UU Church on the Common, 71 The Great Road, will host an informal gathering in front of the church to commemorate Juneteenth.  We welcome everyone who would like  to honor the day with us to attend. We will have some short readings about the day and the early residents of color in Bedford, and then walk to the African  Reservation in the old cemetery to lay flowers.  Please bring flowers from your garden if you would like.
