She is actively involved with The Herb Society of America and with the International Herb Association, serving on their boards. Live Appalachian folk music will be performed by duo Tim & Maggie. A pulled-pork buffet dinner and bake sale will also be featured. Admission is $20 per person or $40 per family (including dinner). All proceeds support roofing projects at the Appalachian South Folklife Center in West Virginia. Enjoy the home cooked meal that has become a First Church and Bedford tradition!  The annual Turkey Dinner features a menu of roast turkey, savory stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, butternut squash, green peas, and, of course, homemade apple or pumpkin pie for dessert. Tickets are $20 per adult and $10 per child under 12 and may be purchased by calling or stopping by the church office between 9 AM to 1 PM during the week through Friday, Oct. 20th. In addition to live Appalachian folk music by duo Tim & Maggie, and a Southern-style pulled-pork supper ($15 per person or $40 per family), the celebration also features free children’s activities, plus arts & crafts and baked goods for sale. All proceeds support nonprofit organizations in West Virginia.

Bedford Society of Arts and Crafts Needle Felting Workshop

On Tuesday, May 17 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, the Bedford Arts and Crafts Society will present an in-person needle felting workshop with artist Elizabeth Stubbs. She will demonstrate and guide participants in making one needle-felted 3D bunny. She will also discuss materials and process.
