Monthly Trail Walk

We will meet behind the Bedford Library at 945a and drive to the MCC VA parking lot on Springs Rd. We will walk a 5 mile loop that incluces the Narow Gauge Rail Trail, Buehler Ponds, Minnie Reid, Two Brothers Rocks, Harvard Field Station, and York. We will aim to begin at 10a, so feel free to meet us at the parking lot. For anyone planning to bring a dog, there is a short stretch along the North Rd that may have traffic. The weather should be lovely, but there could be mud, mosquitos especially by the river, and ticks.

Please join the Bedford Trails Committee for a free Trail Walk.  Description: We will meet at the Bedford Library rear parking lot, then caravan or carpool to the trail head at Lantern Lane.  From there, we will walk through the Wilderness Park conservation area, over to Fawn Lake, loop around the Lake, then walk back using somewhat different trails.  If time permits, we might continue on beyond Fawn Lake, up the railroad bed toward Lane School, and explore side trails before heading back. The mostly flat walk is about 4 miles long and will last about 2 to 3 hours
