How to Raise an Adult ~ A Community Conversation

Please mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 28, as the Bedford Public School system is hosting a community conversation based on Julie Lythcott-Haims’ book, How to Raise an Adult: Break Free of the Overparenting Trap and Prepare Your Kid for Success. The discussion will be held at 7 p.m. in the BHS Auditorium.

The evening will begin with a short presentation of the “big ideas” from the book. Additionally, there will be time for discourse and sharing in small groups. Schools, in partnership with families, want to help our students and children grow into productive and resilient adults. We understand that it takes a proverbial village to make that happen. We hope to gain an understanding of the pressures our students face, while reflecting upon what is really important for all students as they develop.

You do not need to read the book to attend; however it is a worthwhile read for parents/guardians.
