In tandem with Bedford High’s reading of Don’t Ask Me Where I’m From and student/author visit, the Parents Diversity Council (PDC) offers a connection to the project by inviting parents and community members to read the book, then attend an in-person discussion with Ms. De Leon.
Wednesday, April 6, 7 PM
Bedford High School, Large Group Instruction room
Jennifer’s novel of a Latinx student accepted into a suburban METCO program inspires empathy and encourages getting to know people as individuals instead of types of skin colors, emphasizing that no single group’s experience or background is the same for everyone in that group.
Book copies are available from the Bedford Public Library (digital or print), plus a limited number of free copies are available from the PDC. Email [email protected] to request one.
