My Deployment to Afghanistan with a Provincial Reconstruction Team

At a special Veterans Day program, the Bedford Historical Society will host Gina Rada, District Director of Veterans Services for Lexington and Bedford, to describe her year in Afghanistan as a member of a Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT).  Ms. Rada was in Afghanistan from 2007 to 2008 as a member of a medical team, and met with village elders, determined their needs and agreed on how the military might assist.   Refreshments will be served starting at 3:30 pm; Ms. Rada will speak around 4 pm.
