The Parents Diversity Council and BEST PTO invite families to meet former Davis Kindergarten teacher, Vera Ahiyya, author of the brand new book, You Have a Voice!

Ms. Ahiyya will be the Author in Residence at Davis on May 2 and 3.  The evening of May 2, she will be able to meet with parents and families.  She will make a brief presentation, read her book, and have time for Q and A and book signings.  Along with LOTS of hugs for former students (who knew her as Ms. Corbett when she taught kindergarten at Davis)!

This event is open to all, but we have a max capacity of 100, so we ask all families to fill out a registration form.  If we must start a waitlist, we will prioritize former students, pre-K and Lane families, since all Davis students will have the chance to meet Ms. Ahiyya during the day either May 2 or 3.

Event takes place in the Davis Cafeteria, 6 PM, on Monday, May 2.  Light refreshments will be provided.  A limited number of books will also be available for purchase; buy there or bring your own for signing!
