Lou Jones – From Hobby to Perfection: Taking Your Photography to the Next Level

May 8, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

The Bedford Center for the Arts Photo Group (www.bcaphoto.org) will host an evening with photographer Lou Jones on Tuesday, May 8, at 7PM at the First Parish Church, 75 Great Road, Bedford (Elm Street entrance). The topic for discussion will be From Hobby to Perfection: Taking Your Photography to the Next Level.

Lou Jones’ eclectic career has evolved from the commercial to the personal. He has photographed for Fortune 500 corporations, international companies and local small businesses, including Federal Express, Nike and the Barr Foundation. He’s completed assignments for worldwide magazines and publishers, including Time/Life, National Geographic and Paris Match. Jones has exhibited in major art institutions and published multiple books. His long-term projects include images of death row, multiple Olympic Games, pregnancy, and the civil wars in Central America. Jones maintains a studio in Boston (www.fotojones.com).

The program is supported in part through a grant from the Bedford Cultural Council, a local agency, which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

Bedford resident and BCA President Charles Mazel said, “We’re pleased that these two agencies are assisting the BCA Photo Group to give its members and the entire community the opportunity to learn from this accomplished photographer.”

The meeting is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Diane Bennett, [email protected]
