Enjoy some local history this weekend at the Job Lane Farm Museum, 295 North Road, Bedford. The Job Lane House will be open for tours on Sunday, May 28, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. This 300 + year old house, the oldest house in Bedford, will take visitors back to colonial times. See the open hearth kitchen and peek into the borning room. The parlor has rare Rufus Porter wall paintings. Period furnishings add interest to all the rooms. Our Student Museum Docent House Tour Guides will provide informative dialogue about the house and its history. Walk through the barn after the house tour to view a unique collection of antique farm tools, and visit the gift shop. Cash donation of $5 person, $10 family requested. Open for house tours 2nd and 4th Sundays, May through October.
