Community Forum on Childhood Trauma

District Attorney Marian Ryan invites us to join her on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.for a forum focused on childhood trauma and particularly how it is impacting the migrant children being separated from their families.
The event will feature Dr. James Coan, a clinical psychologist and professor at the University of Virginia, who will speak about the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study, toxic stress, the ways acute stress can manifest over time and how to best assist those children exhibiting symptoms of that stress.
