JOINT MEETING AGENDA (Classification Hearing)
The Board of Assessors shall hold a public hearing with the Board of Selectmen to determine the certified valuation of each class of property, the minimum residential factor, and the allocations of the tax burden among the four classes of real property: residential, commercial and industrial, and personal property.
Interested taxpayers may present oral or written views prior to or during the public hearing.
The Board of Assessors and the Assessing Department are charged with valuing all real and personal property in the Town of Bedford fairly and equitably in accordance with applicable Massachusetts General Laws, and with providing quality service to the public and operating departments while also ensuring excellent financial management and maximum operational efficiencies.
