Bedford Town Trail Walk to Hartwell Town Forest led by Dan Hurwitz
January 12, 2019 @ 9:45 am - 12:00 pm
Free
Please join the Bedford Trails Committee for a free Trail Walk to explore the Hartwell Town Forest. This wooded town land is crisscrossed by trails. The front half of the Forest is dry and easily navigated. The back half is very wet — if everything is frozen we will be able to explore that part. The walk will last about 2 hours or less.
We meet at 9:45 AM at the parking lot behind the Bedford Free Public Library. Alternatively, you can meet us at the trailhead on Hartwell Road (see map), very near South Road, where we will leave at 10:10 am sharp.
Note: Our Trail Walk will be leisurely paced, with easy, flat, mostly dry terrain (depending on snow). Please wear comfortable boots that can handle wet, ice or snow. If there is sufficient snow, then snowshoes may be required (Not provided). Children and dogs are welcome. We will walk rain, snow, or shine.
