Bedford Town Trail Walk to Dellovo Conservation Area, led by Bruce Wisentaner

Please join the Bedford Trails Committee for a free Trail Walk to explore the Dellovo Conservation Area, which then leads onto the MassPort property. Goal is a loop thru Dellovo Conservation Area, Massport trails, and VanderHoof Conservation Area, thru frozen swamps that we normally avoid. Deep snow may necessitate last-minute change of plan. The walk will be slow-paced, lasting about 2 hours.

We meet at 9:45 AM at the parking lot behind the Bedford Free Public Library.  Alternatively, you can meet us at the trailhead parking lot on Route 62 (see map at: https://groups.google.com/group/bedfordma-trails), where we will leave at 10:10 am sharp.  From Bedford, it is on the left about 1.8 miles North from the split with Route 225. The trailhead parking lot is located on Route 62, next to the Bedford Children’s Center. Note that we don’t have permission to park at the Bedford Children’s Center.

Note:              Our Trail Walk will be slow-paced, with flat terrain but expected to be muddy, snowy or icy. Please wear comfortable, closed toe, walking shoes or boots that can handle wet, ice or snow. Children and well-behaved dogs on leash are welcome. We will walk rain, snow, or shine.
