Barn Dance for Haiti and BBQ Supper (St. Paul’s Episcopal Church)

Come one, come all! To the Barn Dance for Haiti!
On Saturday April 27th, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Bedford, MA will be hosting a Barn Dance fundraiser for our Haiti mission efforts. The event will take place from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and includes a BBQ dinner. Proceeds from the event will support our Haiti outreach partners, to continue funding student scholarships for Haitian nursing and therapy students, and for sponsoring a Haitian ‘Monitrice’ who will assess children and give advice about nutrition and family health in rural areas of Haiti.
What is a barn dance? Traditionally held in barns, but now held in any building designed for large group events, a barn dance is an informal social gathering for the purpose of dancing in circle, square, and line formations to lively traditional tunes. A caller walks people through the dances and then prompts them in time with the music. No prior dance experience of any kind is required and, in fact, dancing is not required either. Come watch the fun and listen to some great music!
The Barn Dance will feature a star-studded line-up of well-known local talent who will be performing live including Alan Kaufman (fiddle), Ruth Rappaport (guitar), Joel Wennerstrom (banjo), Judy Criscitiello (fiddle), Gian Criscitiello (bass) and Tony Parkes (caller).
