Tremblay and Carluccio Receive Degrees

Regis College and RPI announced the graduation of two Bedford residents.

Derek Tremblay is Now a Regis College Grad

Derek Tremblay, Bedford, graduated with an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Nursing from Regis College in Weston during the May 6 commencement exercises. Tremblay was among more than 1,300 students who received degrees ranging from associate to doctoral levels.

Members of the Class of 2023 celebrated their accomplishments with a commencement ceremony at the Leader Bank Pavilion in Boston featuring WHDH’s 7NEWS Today in New England anchor Amaka Ubaka, who delivered the commencement address and received an honorary degree. Philanthropists Bill and Joyce Cummings also received honorary degrees.

“It is now up to you to take what you have learned and leave this ceremony committed to bettering the world around us with your knowledge and compassion. As the journey continues for each of you, I am confident in the future because you are in it,” Regis College President Antoinette M. Hays, Ph.D., RN said to the graduates. Matthew Carluccio graduates from RPI

Matthew Carluccio, Bedford, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY on May 20. 

Many graduates will continue their studies after graduation at RPI and universities such as Columbia University, Stanford University, and Cornell University. Others will begin professional positions with companies such as Dow Jones, Rockstar Games, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pfizer, Volvo Group, Boston Children’s Hospital, Edwards Lifesciences, Mastercard, Consigli, and WL Gore.

Rensselaer graduates continue to enjoy overall higher starting salaries compared to national averages. Last year, the average starting salary for all reported undergraduate bachelor’s degree candidates from the Class of 2022 was $78,600.
