Reminder Town of Bedford Hazardous Waste Collection Event – Saturday, June 10

This weekend is the third of three spring Household Hazardous Products collections organized for residents of the Town of Bedford.

The collections will take place at the Town of Lexington Landfill Site at 60 Hartwell Ave. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 10.

The event is free of charge to Bedford residents, but pre-registration is required.

After registering and when you attend the event, you must show an ID or utility bill displaying your Bedford address. You may pre-register by clicking the following link: https://acv-test-forms.formstack.com/forms/minuteman

Certain materials are not accepted as household waste at the event. Please view the list of acceptable and unacceptable materials by checking the list here: https://www.lexingtonma.gov/320/Acceptable-Unacceptable-Items or by calling the Health Department at 781-275-6507.

In an effort to be efficient and to keep costs down (the town has a minimum per car charge), residents are asked to only make one trip to the event and are asked to bring at least 10 gallons or 10 pounds of waste materials. Considering combining neighbors’ household hazardous waste to bring to the event in one car load.

Please remember these safety tips: ensure waste containers are secured for transport in the rear of your vehicle; never mix chemicals; store different items in different boxes; always leave materials in their original containers; and do not smoke while handling or transporting materials.

Please contact the Bedford Health Department at 781-275-6507 with any questions or visit https://www.bedfordma.gov/197/Health-Department for additional event and future event information.
