I am very concerned about the proposed massive hangar build-out for private luxury jets at Massport’s Hanscom North field. If carried out, these plans will undermine our municipal, state, and national Climate Goals at a time when climate scientists are urging us to accelerate these goals. This massive expansion project has the potential to single-handedly negate the total combined Greenhouse Gas reductions that Massachusetts and our cities and towns are working hard to achieve. For this reason alone, it should not go forward at Hanscom or any airport.
