The Hanscom Federal Credit Union awarded scholarships of $1,500 each to seven graduating high school seniors, including Sarah Tonini of Bedford. A senior at Bedford High School, Tonini is captain of the varsity soccer team.
The John F. Condon Scholarship is named after a former Hanscom FCU board member who made a significant contribution to the credit union’s success during his 26 years of volunteerism. The award is based on academic record, extracurricular activities, and an essay. The scholarship recipients were announced at the credit union’s 69th Annual Meeting on May 3, 2023.
“We congratulate these seven outstanding students on their accomplishments during their high school careers,” said Lawrence Rzepecki, Hanscom FCU Board Member and chairman of the Condon Scholarship committee. “As they take the next step in their educational journey, we hope that these scholarships will help them reach their goals for the future.”
