Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Bedford Garden Club’s annual sale of geraniums, perennials, and fresh-cut flower arrangements is planned for Saturday, May 13 in front of the Bedford DPW building at 314 The Great Rd.

Starting at 10 a.m., the sale will offer floral arrangements that are great gifts for Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 14. Geraniums in the most popular colors will be sold.

Perennials for sale have been donated from the yards of Garden Club members and from Christine Wilson, a local perennial garden designer of both formal and informal garden spaces, whose business is called “The Duchess of Dirt.”

Numerous perennials, both native and non-native, will be available at this event, which is the Bedford Garden Club’s biggest fundraiser of the year.  A special “natives” section will offer a variety of popular perennials.

Just a few native varieties include Campanula, Columbine, Coreopsis, Cranesbill Geranium, Cone Flower, Bee Balm, Black-eyed Susan, Lobelia, Mayapple, and Bloodroot.

This event will be held rain or shine from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Funds raised will help support the Club’s scholarships given each year through CSF of Bedford Dollars for Scholars.
