Renovation of the town skate park behind the Bedford Town Center is complete.
Recreation Director Josh Smith said the work was actually completed in a single day in April. Replacement of decks and railings on the park structures was accomplished, and skaters have returned.
The work was financed by the community preservation fund: $18,000 from the fiscal year 2022 budget and $16,400 from the following year’s allocation.
“The improved skate park is an active space used by many residents and an important part of what Bedford Recreation has to offer,” Smith said, adding that the Recreation Department also offers skateboard classes.
The park is open daily during daylight hours.
