The Bedford Planning Board has scheduled a “site walk” for 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 20 at 229, 251A, and 251F Old Billerica Road.
Those properties comprise a residential development proposed by Bilca, LLC, that has been the subject of several sessions of public hearings since last fall.
At Tuesday’s session, board members highlighted the benefits of the site walk, including the opportunity to examine any issues abutters have raised, the chance to review proposed open space, and the ability to assess the value of proposed and existing trees.
In accordance with the developer’s request, the board voted to continue the scheduled public hearing installment to its next meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23.
The proposed development would consolidate the three parcels into a single cottage-style development with retention of significant open space. The development would include a townhouse-style duplex with the remaining units being single-family homes. The development will consist of 13 residential units, two of which are existing houses.
