Ask Aunt Laura: Make your own Hummingbird Sugar Water

One of my favorite spring moments is when the first hummingbird arrives after their long migration from Mexico. Feeders don’t have to be expensive and making your own nectar is quick and easy. (Please don’t buy the red prepackaged nectar as it is unnecessary and may be unneccary!) All you need is to boil some tap water and add plain white sugar. How easy is that?! Place your feeder in a part shade/shady area near a tree or shrub and watch the antics begin!
