Sean Laffey Tops Among Bedford’s Six Boston Marathon Runners

Sean Laffey was tops among Bedford runners in Monday’s 127th Boston Marathon, according to BAA.org results. Laffey was the 965th overall, finishing the 26.2-mile course in 2:44:02.

Anoush Arakelian was the top female Bedford runner, crossing the Copley Square finish line in 3:07.22 – good enough for 5,781th place among the 30,000 official competitors. Among women, she was the 565th place finisher.

Former Bedford High School track star Caitlin Hurley De Santi ran the course in an impressive time of 3:15:26 – good enough for 7,852nd place overall and 1,021 among the female runners.

Christopher Gehring of Bedford completed the marathon in 4:15:18 and Nicole Lapre wrapped up her race in 4:30:17.

Nicole Wynters also had a successful race, finishing the marathon course in 5:23:16.

Former Bedford resident and BHS grad Brad Geilfuss, who now lives in California, had a great run, finishing in 3:04:52. He was 5,221 overall and 247th in the 50-54 division.

Bradley Geilfuss, a BHS alum who lives in California, also ran the Boston Marathon. His parents still live in Bedford.
