Chris Golen Named as Next President and CEO of Carleton-Willard Village

Submitted by Carleton-Willard Village

The Trustees of Carleton-Willard Village (CWV), one of the earliest nonprofit continuing care communities in Massachusetts, announced that Christopher J. Golen has been appointed as its next President and CEO.

The Trustees launched a nationwide search for its next CEO after Barbara A. Doyle announced her retirement to the Board in April 2022. She is retiring after 41 years of exemplary leadership at CWV and establishing a national reputation for CWV as a leader in high quality retirement living and health care for the elderly.

Golen, or as he prefers, Chris, has extensive executive experience in continuing care retirement communities in Massachusetts with a proven record of success in all facets of community life and management.

“Chris is known for his attention to the well-being of community residents as well as an extensive knowledge of the business aspects of life care communities,” said John Cupples, Chair of the Board of Carleton-Willard Homes, Inc.

He will join the management team at Carleton-Willard Village on Monday, April 24.
