Away from friendly Miss G Field? No problem for the Bedford High School softball team, which won away games in the Dual County League on Tuesday and Wednesday by a combined score of 30-8.

Coach Dennis Walsh’s Buccaneers, now 5-1, continue their road trip next Monday at Westford Academy.

On Wednesday in Waltham, Bedford put the game out of reach early with a nine-run third inning. The final score was 21-7.

Alice Cooprider and Addi Poulter had four hits each and Coco Steele added three in the onslaught. Mia Vitti and Lulu Steele each drove home three runs. Ani Eskandarian added two RBIs and Chloe Borella registered her first varsity base hit and run batted in.

The winning pitcher was Audrye Dumlao. She struck out five Hawks.

Tuesday’s 9-1 win at Acton-Boxborough was a closer game, but still always under control, as the home team managed only three hits in seven innings.

Kaylee Grace allowed only one run over five innings, striking out seven, and Coco Steele finished, adding two Ks. The Bucs led 5-1 after four innings. Bedford played errorless ball, and Katie Patel led the offense with three hits and two runs batted in.
