An Obituary: Martin Cooperstein

Loving husband, father, grandfather, and dedicated businessman, Marty Cooperstein of Bedford passed away on March 22, 2023.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was honored by Drexel University as one of its top 100 students. He went on to become head of engineering at GTE-Sylvania and then President, CEO and Chairman of the Board at Data Architects, Inc. He was also CEO of Logica North America when Logica bought Data Architects, Inc.

A lifelong athlete, he continued to enjoy skiing, fly fishing, tennis and cycling well into his 90s.

Marty leaves behind his loving wife, Pat, and five children: Lisa Rodnunsky, Howard and (Rene) Cooperstein, Carol and (David) Agranat, Laura and (Peter) Holland, and Libby Sudlow. There are 11 grandchildren who grew up with their grandfather: Rachel, Jared, Jayme, Matthew, Daniel, Ally, Tia, Jules, Jenna, Thomas and Henry.

A funeral service was held at Temple Isaiah 55 Lincoln St., Lexington on Monday, March 27. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Lexington. Following interment, shiva will be at his late residence until 4 p.m. and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on March 27; 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28 and from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Carol and David’s home.
