An Obituary: Edward W. McMahon

Edward W. McMahon, 90, a long-time resident of Bedford, died on March 11, 2023, in Texas.

He was the son of the late Philip E. and Ethel C. (Bell) McMahon.

From 1952-1956, he served in the United States Air Force (USAF) during the Korean Conflict. Following his military service, he worked as a security officer for the USAF for many years and also had a distinguished career in security at Eastern Airlines.

Mr. McMahon was an active member of St. Michael Parish in Bedford and a member of the American Legion Post 221.

He is survived by his family: sister, Florence Sebastian, and his niece, Charlotte Rivera and her husband, Francisco, and children, Phillip and Sophia, all of Lewisville, TX. He also has numerous cousins and extended family throughout Massachusetts.

A graveside service will be held at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, at Shawsheen Cemetery, Shawsheen Road., Bedford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Anthony Hunt Hamilton American Legion Post 221, Bedford, MA 01730.
