It is estimated that only 37 percent of the country still uses a landline. Most may be people who lived in their houses before they got a cell phone. Still, there are some good reasons to have one. For 911 calls, town wide announcements, etc.

I have a landline because cell service in BEDFORD is horrible. Now driving on South Rd just before Hartwell Rd, my calls drop. Also on Concord Rd from Carter way to almost past Renzos. I have seniors that I work with who just have cellphone and can not get their calls out.
