Readers of All Ages, Get Set to Make Bedford the “Minute Madness” Champion

February 27, 2023

There’s March Madness and there’s “Minute Madness,” the 2023 reading competition among 20 libraries that begins on March 1 and continues to April 5.

So get on board and help the Bedford Free Public Library outdo all the other competitors in our region! It’s easy and any kind of reading counts: newspapers, magazines, books, graphic novels, audiobooks, even reading aloud to your kids will add to your score in this friendly contest. All ages are welcome to participate.

Register or log in to your Beanstack account to keep track of your reading on a PC, tablet, or smartphone, starting March 1. If you participated in any Library reading programs through Beanstack in the past you do not need to create a new account. Setting up a new account is free.

On March 8, 16 libraries will compete in a bracket-style tournament. This means the Bedford library will be playing head-to-head against one other library. The winner moves forward to the next round. On March 15, eight libraries will compete in a bracket-style tournament. On March 22, four libraries will proceed to the “Fierce Four” for the chance to compete in the Championship round. On March 29, the top libraries will fight for the winning spot.

Ready, set, go – starting March 1, log your reading to help make Bedford the Minute Madness champion!
