Educational Foundation’s Birthday Event Saturday Night

Final preparations are well underway for the Bedford Education Foundation’s Black and White Birthday Bash, scheduled for Saturday from 7 to 11 p.m. at Café Escadrille in Burlington.

The fundraising event celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Bedford Educational Foundation, (, which provides grants to support innovation and creativity to teachers in all four Bedford schools.

Tickets are $50 each, and online sales close Wednesday ( Tickets will be $60 each at the door.

“We are celebrating the foundation’s 15th birthday with the biggest adult-only party of the year, and we are back in our typical format for the first time since February 2020,” said Jen Kelley, BEF president. “If you have a child in the Bedford schools, they have benefited from the BEF.” 

The agenda features dancing, appetizers, and a silent auction. While “black and white” galas are typically formal, Kelley said the guidance for Saturday night’s event is, “Dress up or dress down, as long as it’s black and/or white.”
