Educational Foundation’s Birthday Event Saturday Night

Final preparations are well underway for the Bedford Education Foundation’s Black and White Birthday Bash, scheduled for Saturday from 7 to 11 p.m. at Café Escadrille in Burlington.

The fundraising event celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Bedford Educational Foundation, (https://bedfordeducation.org/), which provides grants to support innovation and creativity to teachers in all four Bedford schools.

Tickets are $50 each, and online sales close Wednesday (https://bedfordeducation.org/2023/01/24/bef-black-and-white-birthday-bash-tickets-now-on-sale.) Tickets will be $60 each at the door.

“We are celebrating the foundation’s 15th birthday with the biggest adult-only party of the year, and we are back in our typical format for the first time since February 2020,” said Jen Kelley, BEF president. “If you have a child in the Bedford schools, they have benefited from the BEF.”

The agenda features dancing, appetizers, and a silent auction. While “black and white” galas are typically formal, Kelley said the guidance for Saturday night’s event is, “Dress up or dress down, as long as it’s black and/or white.”
