The worst of winter is still ahead, but the Recreation Department knows that every passing day also means summer is closer.
And one of the first signs of the season is the department’s summer job fair, scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 12, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Reed Room of Town Hall.
The agenda will feature presentations and information about employment opportunities in the department’s three cornerstone summer programs: the Summer Adventures day camp, Springs Brook Park, and Kids’ Club activities.
Recreation Director Josh Smith said prospective employees should be at least 14 years old.
“Kids can come through by themselves or with parents to ask questions, learn more, and get application instructions if they are interested,” he said.
