BHS Interact Club Hosting Winter Items Drive to Help Children in Need

The Bedford High School Interact Club is holding its second annual Winter Items Drive to help the children served by Cradles to Crayons. The drive is now underway and runs through Dec. 20.

Needed are new or gently used winter coats and snow boots as well as hats and gloves. People wishing to help may bring their donations to Bedford High School.

This drive is being organized by BHS sophomore Diya Singh, who said, “Bedford High School is proud to be an inclusive community with students from Bedford, Hanscom Air Force Base, and Boston. We love to give back and the winter clothing drive for Cradles to Crayons is a perfect way to do that. We’d love to help Cradles to Crayons get children the things that they need and want.”

Diya added, “The Interact Club is filled with many students from all grade levels interested in making a difference and giving back to the community!”

Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth through 12 years old living in homeless or low-income situations with the essential items they need to thrive at home, school, and at play. Cradles to Crayons provides these items free of charge. It’s a way for “communities that have” to engage with communities in need.
