John T. McQuaid, Jr., 80, a long-time resident of Bedford, died on Nov. 30, 2022.
John lived in Bedford since 1950 and was a member of the Bedford High School Class of 1960. He was a star on the track team, excelling in the 220 and 440-yard distances.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1967 and was a member of Bedford VFW Post 1628.
For 35 years, he worked at Anderson & McQuaid Inc. in Cambridge as a ripsaw operator.
Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, followed by interment in Shawsheen Cemetery.
