
The Bedford High School girls’ cross country team and two members of the boys’ squad have qualified for the MIAA state meet on Saturday in Devens.
They emerged from the Division 2 qualifying meet on Sunday at Stanley Park in Westfield.

The top seven teams advance, and the Bedford girls finished fifth out of 20 entries. There were 141 runners.
Addi Poulter led the Bucs, coming in 14th with a time of 20 minutes, eight seconds on the five-kilometer course. Five seconds behind her was Sam Sheahan, coming in 16th.
They were followed by Grade Niu, 31st; Coco Steele, 41st; Anna Massaro, 45th; Vivian Liiu, 51st; and Lulu Steele, 54th.
Carter Rauch’s fourth place finish in 16 minutes, 29 seconds, and Jonny Garraway’s 10th place, in 16:48, propelled them as individuals to the state championship.
The BHS boys came in ninth out of 25. There were 167 competitors. Other Bedford finishers were Aidan McCarthy, 73rd place; Oren Brosgol, 83rd; Josh Garraway, 102nd; Henry Reynolds, 127th; and Peter Benson, 138th.
