Salvatore V. DeVellis, 85, of Billerica and formerly of Bedford, died on Oct. 22, 2022. Sal retired from Raytheon Missile Defense Systems where he was a managing engineer charged with the design and installation of missile systems as well as the Patriot “Scud Buster” Missile. Raising his family in Bedford, he sat on the Bedford Planning Board for many years and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Michael’s parish.
Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27. A Mass of Christian burial will be at St. Michael’s Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 28.
