As you may or may not know, there is a movie filming here in Bedford. As with any movie, it comes loaded with stars. But who and where? For obvious reasons, the set is very tight lipped as to what’s going on. We know it’s being filmed at the Wedgewood Swim and Tennis Club. While we do not want to perpetuate rumors, we can’t help but speculate on what we hear
Does Sally Fields really love Moosetracks? (She likes it! She really likes it!) “Was Painted Burro’s closure a big blow to Selene Gomez?”
I did say gesundheit to someone in Whole Foods after I heard a “ Hoo-ah,” was it Pacino? Sitting in traffic on the Great Road, I swear I heard the person who cut me off say “I’m an excellent driver.”
What kind of movie are they filming? Why Bedford? Did Hollywood decide that the Battle of Sweeney Ridge could be made into a full-length movie?
Now that Bedford no longer has the oldest flag, is this a new way for Bedford to make its mark by being a film destination? We will have to wait until the movie is released to know the answer, One thing I know for sure: we’re not in Kansas anymore.
Editor’s Note: The Scallion is a lighthearted attempt to poke gentle fun at ourselves. It’s satire and not to be taken too seriously.
Why does “Bedford no longer [have/has] the oldest flag”? What did I miss?
https://thebedfordcitizen.org/2022/04/the-oldest-flag/ claims an ‘arguably older flag, not under their bed but tightly rolled in a bundle of Civil War flags in Bristol, Rhode Island.’
Sharon McDonald and Alethea Yates visited Bristol and shared their report https://thebedfordcitizen.org/2022/05/the-oldest-flag-part-ii/
And the Bedford Scallion checked in too: Existential Crisis ~ We Have the Second Oldest Flag?
Well, even if the Byfield flag is technically the oldest (still unconfirmed), can’t we claim Bedford has the oldest American Colonial flag STILL IN USE … or STILL FLYING? This is accurate, isn’t it?
