Is the Worst of the Pandemic Behind Us…Again? ~ What’s Bedford Thinking?

As Yogi Berra once said It’s Deja Vu All Over Again.  Since it’s a holiday I thought I would be lazy and dust off a poll we already did.  It seems oddly pertinent.    Our relationship with Covid, seems to be entering a new phase …once more.   Just like last August, people are anxious to put the pandemic behind them.  To paraphrase what a wise first grader once said; “We’re done with that!”

Remember August? Vaccines were being distributed, sports were being played, life seemed oddly normal.  Then came the variants: Delta, followed closely by Omicron when we all went hiding back in our homes.  Once again positivity rates and case numbers were being discussed around the dinner table.

It seems we’re past the latest surge, however, there are all the caveats from the experts as well as a new omicron variant slowly making its way back into the media discussion.

So, we’ll ask it once again. So what’s Bedford thinking: do you think the worst of the pandemic is behind us?

Ready to be counted? Vote in the poll until noon next Saturday. You’ll find the poll in the right-hand column on The Citizen’s main page, or by scrolling to the bottom of your phone or tablet
